We are very pleased to inform you that the Municipality of Plužine, with the support of the European Union, has arranged the first climbing area and installed free climbing routes on the natural rock in Plužine!
Climbing area “Piva” is located in an attractive location 2km from Plužine. It includes two zones, with a total of 61 climbing routes. The routes are of different lengths, suitable for all climbers, from beginners to more experienced ones, for whom special routes up to 80 meters long have been arranged. The difficulty of the routes was assessed by the UIAA scale (International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation) from II to XII.
Arrangement of the Climbing area “Piva” is one of activities of the project “Tourism, Adrenaline and Rafting Adventure (T.A.R.A)”, implemented by the Municipalities of Plužine and Foča, in cooperation with the Nature Park “Piva” and Tourist Organization of Foča, and funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the CBC BiH-MNE Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
In the next period, as part of the project, a climbing club will be formed in Plužine for which climbing equipment will be available.
