Bike trail general characteristics
The bike trail leads along the intersection of the asphalt roads Plužine-Trsa, and the turn for Unač – Sumorova gora – Ježevo brdo – Barni do – Babići – Žeično – Crkvičko polje. The asphalt road leads up to the village Unač, and then the trail stretches through mountainous dirt and stony road of different width and quality. The bike trail stretches by the edge of Piva Lake and River Canyon and leads through the picturesque landscapes of the western part of the Pivska Planina. The trail is about 21 km long, and very small relative altitude. From the intersection of the roads (1,165 meters above sea level), it climbs to Unač (1,365 meters), which is the only higher climb of about 180 meters relative height, and then the path stretches along the plateau of the Pivska Planina with an average altitude of about 1,250 meters. The trail can be crossed by bike in about 2 hours and 30 minutes without rest in one direction. According to the characteristics, the mentioned trail is very attractive, requires a cycling condition and is recommended to bikers with experience. There is no climb on the trail that can not be overcome by bicycle. It is necessary to adapt the movement and speed to the characteristics of the trail. Along this trail, there are many crossroads for the certian small villages and side roads to the eastern part of the Pivska Planina. The trail leads also through the wooded areas; from Unač through Barni Do to Babići, and from Žeično to Crkvičko Polje.
