At the starting point, from which one moves in an unforgettable rafting adventure on the Tara River, just 300 meters from the main road Podgorica-Sarajevo and in close proximity to the confluence place of three rivers: the Tara, Piva and Drina, there is the Rafting Camp ‘Modra Rijeka’, the winner of the big gold medal at the 50th International Tourism Fair held in October 2017 in Novi Sad. Since 2007, this tourist oasis represents a place where the peace, harmony and enjoyment of the unspoilt nature of the most beautiful part of Montenegro connect with the adrenaline and extreme sports such as the Tara River rafting, canyoning, jeep safari tour around Durmitor, cycling and hiking, fishing and other sports. The location of the Rafting Camp ‘Modra Rijeka’ is ideal – in the very heart of Šćepan Polje, where the Tara rafting begins and ends, and where all guests are provided with free parking and free wi-fi.
The capacity of the Rafting Camp ‘Modra Rijeka’ is about 100 places in wooden houses and bungalows with bathrooms and terraces. Accommodation facilities are completely arranged and contain everything that is necessary for the vacation and to enjoy nature and adventure tours offered by the Camp.
The restaurant of the Rafting Camp ‘Modra Rijeka’ has 150 seats arranged in the inner part, and covered and exposed terraces as well. Meals served on the most beautiful terrace, right on the Piva River bank represent a special ambience for all our guests and lovers the Tara River rafting. Such beautiful dinner and beautiful atmosphere, with a phenomenal view that stretches over the canyon of one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe, you will not have anywhere else. Catering team of the Camp takes care of national specialties preparation in the kitchen which offers various dishes (gourmet, vegetarian, gluten free and other dishes of your choice) 24 hours a day. Almost all products are organic, purchased from local breeders and producers.
